Scientists probe brain signals for clues to Fibromyalgia's debilitating fatigue
NCT ID NCT06778681
Summary
This study aimed to understand if a problem with how the brain sends signals to muscles is a cause of the severe fatigue in fibromyalgia. Researchers compared electrical signals in the leg muscles of 37 women with fibromyalgia to those of healthy women during a strength test. The goal was to gather knowledge about the disease's mechanism, not to test a treatment.
