Could your eyes reveal Fibromyalgia's hidden clues?

NCT ID NCT07345546

Summary

This study looked at whether symptoms of fibromyalgia, especially those related to the body's automatic functions (like heart rate and digestion), are connected to changes in blood vessels at the back of the eye. Researchers compared eye scans from 80 people—some with fibromyalgia and some healthy—to see if a measurement called the Choroidal Vascularity Index (CVI) was different between the groups. The goal was to gather information to better understand fibromyalgia, not to test a treatment.
