Doctors track how removing fibroids changes Women's pelvic health
NCT ID NCT07180524
Summary
This study aims to understand how two common surgeries for uterine fibroids affect pelvic floor symptoms and measurements. Researchers will follow 200 women who are scheduled for either a hysterectomy (removing the uterus) or a myomectomy (removing just the fibroids). They will compare symptoms and pelvic measurements before surgery and at 1, 6, and 12 months after to see which approach leads to better pelvic health outcomes.
