Can fiber help heal damaged guts? new study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT06240065
Summary
This study aims to understand how well people with short bowel syndrome can tolerate adding fiber to their liquid nutrition. Researchers will slowly introduce green beans into the diets of 60 participants and track their symptoms, weight, and changes in their gut bacteria. The goal is to learn which patients might benefit from fiber and why some cannot tolerate it, to help guide future nutrition plans.
