Summary
This small, completed pilot study explored whether taking a daily fiber supplement for 12 weeks could improve memory, mood, and gut bacteria in healthy adults aged 60-75. Fifty participants were randomly assigned to receive either the fiber blend or a placebo powder. The main goal was to gather initial data on how fiber might connect gut health to brain function, not to provide a treatment.
