Quick Finger-Prick test could keep kids with fever out of the ER

Summary
This study looks at whether a simple finger-prick test that measures C-reactive protein (CRP) in a doctor's office can help decide if a child with fever needs to go to the emergency room. About 420 children aged 3 months to 9 years with fever will take part. The goal is to see if this quick test reduces how often children are sent to the ER or lab, saving time and easing hospital overcrowding.
