Summary

This study aimed to understand how a strong pain medication moves between a pregnant person and their fetus. It involved eight people undergoing pregnancy termination due to severe fetal malformations after 24 weeks. Researchers injected the medication into the amniotic fluid and measured its levels in the mother, fetus, and fluid to gather basic safety data.
