Summary
This study tested a special PET scan called FES PET/CT to see if it can accurately find breast cancer that has spread to lymph nodes under the arm. The study involved 71 adults with estrogen-positive breast cancer who were suspected of having lymph node spread. The goal was to see if this imaging method could replace or reduce the need for surgical biopsies.
