Scientists search egg cells for secret code to better IVF babies

NCT ID NCT04710264

Summary

This study aimed to find genetic markers in the cells surrounding a woman's eggs that could help predict which embryos are most likely to develop well and lead to a successful pregnancy. Researchers observed 137 women undergoing IVF treatment, collecting cells from their eggs to analyze gene activity. The goal was to gather information that might one day help doctors select the best embryos for transfer, potentially improving IVF success rates.
