New fertility study hopes to boost success for older women

NCT ID NCT04719000

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a hormone called LH to standard fertility drugs can improve hormone levels and egg quality in women over 35 who had a low number of eggs in a previous treatment. About 120 women will be randomly assigned to get either the standard drug alone or the standard drug plus LH. The main goal is to measure hormone levels on the day of egg retrieval, not to guarantee pregnancy.
