Summary
This study is testing if the drug fenofibrate works better than the current standard treatment (UDCA) for adults with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a chronic liver disease. Participants who haven't had previous treatment will take either fenofibrate or UDCA daily for a year, without knowing which one they get. Researchers will check liver health through blood tests and scans to see which medication helps more.
