First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at how natural changes in estrogen and progesterone throughout the menstrual cycle influence how ready women feel to exercise, how hard they perceive a workout, and how their bodies recover afterward. Researchers will measure perceived readiness, difficulty, muscle soreness, and inflammatory markers in 30 healthy women aged 18-35 who are not on hormonal contraception. The goal is to better understand the role of female sex hormones in exercise response.
