New hope for kidney transplant patients: drug targets silent inflammation

Summary
This study tests a drug called felzartamab in 81 kidney transplant recipients who developed microvascular inflammation (MVI), a type of blood vessel injury that can lead to kidney failure. There are no approved treatments for this condition. Participants will receive either felzartamab or a placebo for 24 weeks, then all will receive felzartamab for another 28 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug reduces inflammation in the transplanted kidney.
