First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 118 stroke patients who had a breathing tube to see if a different way of feeding them could help them recover better. One group got food through a tube that goes from the mouth to the stomach, while the other group got food through a tube that goes from the nose to the stomach. The goal was to see which method improved nutrition, helped remove the breathing tube sooner, and reduced infections.
