Stomach or small intestine? study tests best way to feed prone ventilator patients

Summary

This study looks at two ways of feeding patients with severe lung injury (ARDS) who are on a ventilator and lying on their stomach. About 40 adults will be randomly assigned to get nutrition through a tube in the stomach or one in the small intestine. The goal is to see which method helps them meet their nutrition needs more safely and effectively.
