New 'Smart' device aims to predict which constipation therapy will work

NCT ID NCT05807321

Summary

This study is testing a new device called Fecobionics to better understand a specific type of chronic constipation called pelvic floor dyssynergia. Researchers will use the device to measure muscle function in 24 patients before, during, and after they receive standard biofeedback therapy. The goal is to see if the device's measurements can predict which patients will benefit from the therapy before they start treatment.
