Poop pills trial aims to boost cancer treatment success
NCT ID NCT07042438
Summary
This study is testing whether taking capsules containing healthy donor stool (fecal microbiome transplant) can improve gut health and treatment outcomes for adults with hard-to-treat lymphoma. All participants receive standard CAR-T cell therapy, a powerful cancer treatment, but some also receive the fecal transplant capsules while others get a placebo. Researchers want to see if fixing the gut helps patients respond better to the cancer therapy and reduces side effects.
