Poop transplants put to the test: can a specific Donor's gut bugs tame IBS?

NCT ID NCT06171126

Summary

This study is testing whether fecal transplants from carefully selected healthy donors can help control symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It involves 500 people with moderate-to-severe IBS who will receive a transplant from one of three specific donors or a placebo. Researchers will track changes in symptoms, fatigue, and quality of life over a year to see if some donors are better than others.
