Poop transplant trial aims to wipe out superbugs
NCT ID NCT04759001
Summary
This study is testing whether a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) can clear dangerous, drug-resistant bacteria from a person's gut. Researchers will compare the transplant to a placebo in 52 adults who carry these bacteria. The goal is to see if restoring healthy gut bacteria can eliminate the superbug colonization and prevent serious infections.
