First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a fecal microbiota transplant to babies born by C-section can improve their gut bacteria and help prevent overweight or obesity. About 534 infants will receive the transplant shortly after birth and be followed for growth differences. The goal is to see if early gut colonization can be changed for better long-term health.
