Could a Donor's ethnic diet make poop transplants more effective?
NCT ID NCT06591013
Summary
This study investigated whether the background of a fecal transplant donor affects treatment success for ulcerative colitis, a chronic gut disease. Researchers compared transplants from donors of Han and Bai ethnicities to see if one led to better control of the disease. The goal was to understand if certain donor gut bacteria are more helpful for restoring balance and reducing inflammation in patients.
