NCT ID NCT07405684

First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 7-day course of antibiotics, chosen based on a stool test, can cure H. pylori infection as effectively as the standard 14-day course. About 544 adults with a first-time H. pylori infection will provide a stool sample to check for drug resistance, then receive either a 7-day or 14-day personalized treatment. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment is just as good at clearing the infection, with fewer side effects and lower cost.
