Summary

This study is testing whether swallowing capsules containing freeze-dried, healthy donor stool can help adults with hard-to-treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Researchers will compare these 'fecal transplant' capsules to dummy pills to see if they safely reduce gut symptoms and improve quality of life and mental health. Participants will take the capsules for three days and be followed for 12 weeks.
