Prenatal checkups could double as cancer risk screening
NCT ID NCT07052266
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether offering genetic testing for inherited cancer risks (like BRCA1/2) during routine pregnancy or fertility care is practical and acceptable. About 550 pregnant or preconception patients will be offered the screening alongside standard prenatal tests. The goal is to see if this approach can help catch cancer risks early, especially in underserved communities.
