First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether repeated FDG-PET/CT scans can help doctors choose patients and measure treatment response in people with cancer spread in the abdomen (peritoneal metastasis) who receive a special chemotherapy called PIPAC. 34 patients with cancers like stomach, colorectal, or ovarian cancer were included. The goal was to see if the scans could show how well the treatment works and if this approach is practical for patients.
