New shot could tame tough eczema
NCT ID NCT06397911
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a drug called FB825 in adults with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). Participants receive five injections over 12 weeks, either FB825 or a placebo, to see if it improves skin symptoms like redness and itching. The goal is to find a new treatment option for people whose eczema is hard to control.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
FB825 (a drug given as injections under the skin)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with moderate-to-severe eczema that is not well controlled by current therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 114 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not work better than placebo, and side effects are still being studied.
