Summary

Researchers are testing an experimental oral drug called FB-101 in healthy adult men to see if it is safe and how the body handles it. The trial gives single and multiple doses, comparing FB-101 against a placebo. Up to 72 men aged 19 to 55 may take part. The main goal is to measure any side effects and how the drug moves through the body.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
FB-101, an oral investigational drug
What this could lead to
If FB-101 proves safe and well-tolerated, it could advance to larger studies for a potential future treatment.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 1 trial in a small group of healthy men, so it cannot show whether FB-101 works for any disease. Side effects may appear, and the drug may not perform well in later trials.
