Summary
This study compared two existing oral medications—ornithine aspartate granules and silymarin capsules—to see which is more effective at treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). It involved 237 adults with confirmed NAFLD and elevated liver enzymes. The main goal was to see which treatment better reduced liver fat and improved patients' quality of life over the course of the trial.
