New program aims to help depressed dads and their kids in kenya
NCT ID NCT06489314
Summary
This study is testing a brief, 5-session counseling program called LEAD, delivered by trained peer counselors, to help fathers in Kenya who are experiencing depression and some alcohol use. The goal is to see if this program improves fathers' mental health, parenting, and their children's well-being. About 102 fathers will be randomly assigned to either receive the counseling immediately or be placed on a waitlist. The research will also explore how easy and acceptable the program is to deliver in local communities.
