Summary
This study aimed to understand how advanced kidney disease affects body fat tissue. Researchers collected small fat samples from 23 men during routine surgeries—15 with kidney disease and 8 healthy volunteers. They examined the fat cells' size and function to learn why metabolism problems are common in kidney patients.
