Scientists scan blood to see how we digest different fats
NCT ID NCT04156503
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the body absorbs and processes different types of dietary fats. Healthy volunteers ate muffins made with either palm oil or lard, and researchers used a special scanning technique on their blood to see how the fat molecules changed. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about fat digestion, not to test a treatment.
