Could fasting supercharge cancer treatment? new trial investigates
NCT ID NCT06671613
Summary
This study is testing whether combining intermittent fasting with standard immunotherapy helps fight advanced lung cancer better. Researchers want to see if a special fasting diet makes cancer cells more vulnerable to treatment while reducing side effects. The trial involves 66 people with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer who are already scheduled to receive pembrolizumab immunotherapy.
