Can Time-Restricted eating tame uncontrollable seizures?

NCT ID NCT06013761

Summary

This small pilot study explored whether a time-restricted eating pattern (16:8 intermittent fasting), with or without a daily dose of MCT oil, could help reduce seizures in adults whose epilepsy does not respond well to medication. Twenty-two participants tried both diet approaches for 12 weeks each to see which was more effective. The main goal was to see if this easier-to-follow diet could control seizures similarly to more complex ketogenic diets.
