Summary
This study aims to find a safer way to prepare patients taking GLP1 drugs (like Ozempic or Wegovy) for an upper endoscopy. Researchers are testing if having patients fast for a longer period before the procedure reduces leftover stomach contents, which lowers the risk of breathing in stomach material. They will enroll 150 patients undergoing a scheduled upper endoscopy to compare different fasting protocols.
