Can fasting supercharge chemo? breast cancer trial investigates

NCT ID NCT07440784

Summary

This study is testing whether adding specific fasting routines to standard chemotherapy helps breast cancer patients. Researchers want to see if fasting can reduce side effects, improve the body's immune response to cancer, and enhance patients' quality of life during treatment. The trial will compare different fasting methods, including intermittent fasting and a two-week water-only fast, against chemotherapy alone in 60 female patients.
