ICU feeding dilemma: to fast or not to fast before surgery?

Summary
This study aims to determine whether critically ill patients on breathing machines and feeding tubes should stop eating before medical procedures. Researchers will compare two approaches: stopping tube feeding 8 hours before procedures versus continuing feeding until right before. They want to see which approach leads to fewer lung complications, better recovery, and shorter hospital stays for these vulnerable patients.
