Could a drug combo replace transplant for myeloma patients?
NCT ID NCT06974786
First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of two drugs (elranatamab and daratumumab) can work as well as or better than a stem cell transplant followed by maintenance therapy for people newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma. About 100 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment paths. The main goal is to see which approach leads to undetectable levels of cancer in the bone marrow, a sign of deep remission.
