Summary

This study is testing a new, faster method to identify the bacteria causing lower respiratory tract infections like pneumonia. Researchers will compare a new DNA sequencing technique to standard lab culture methods in 100 adult patients. The main goal is to see if the new test can provide accurate results more quickly to help doctors start the right treatment sooner.
