New 5-Minute test could slash ER wait times for chest pain
NCT ID NCT06845826
Summary
This study is testing whether a new, faster bedside blood test can help emergency room doctors rule out a certain type of heart attack more quickly. The goal is to safely send low-risk patients home sooner, reducing overcrowding and wait times in the ER. Researchers will compare the new fast test against the standard lab test in over 1,500 adults coming to the ER with chest pain.
