Clinic's quick scan aims to beat dangerous blood clots

NCT ID NCT07400510

Summary

This study is testing if using a portable ultrasound machine right in the doctor's office can help diagnose dangerous leg blood clots (DVT) faster. About 50 patients with DVT symptoms will get the quick scan, followed by the standard, more detailed ultrasound. Researchers will compare how long it takes to get a diagnosis and start treatment, and track serious complications like lung clots and hospital stays over three months.
