Finger-Prick test could speed up carbon monoxide poisoning diagnosis

NCT ID NCT06641752

Summary

This study aims to see if a quick finger-prick blood test is as accurate as a standard blood draw from the arm for measuring carbon monoxide levels in the blood. It will involve 120 adults who come to the emergency room with symptoms that suggest possible carbon monoxide poisoning. The goal is to determine if the simpler, faster test can reliably help doctors make a diagnosis.
