New scanner could speed up prostate cancer detection during surgery

Summary
This study tests a new FDA-approved scanner that gives doctors a quick, detailed view of the prostate surface during surgery to find leftover cancer cells. The goal is to see if this method saves at least 20 minutes compared to the standard technique. About 78 men with prostate cancer having robot-assisted prostate removal will take part.
