Race against time: new test could save lives by spotting bleeding problems in minutes
NCT ID NCT07097337
Summary
This study is testing a new, faster bedside blood test for trauma patients with severe bleeding. The goal is to see if this quick test can be used during emergency care to measure a key clotting protein called fibrinogen in just a few minutes, instead of the usual 30-45 minutes. Researchers will enroll 150 adults with major traumatic injuries to see if the test is practical to use and if having faster results could have led to better treatment decisions.
