Heart test recovery could be cut in half with new wrist band method
NCT ID NCT06549842
Summary
This study tested a new method to stop bleeding faster and more safely after a common heart test done through the wrist artery. It compared the standard approach (using a standard dose of a blood-thinning drug and 2 hours of pressure) to a new method (using half the blood thinner and only 1 hour of pressure with a special band). The goal was to see if the new method could reduce complications like re-bleeding, artery blockage, and bruising while letting patients recover quicker.
