Home in 48 hours: new plan aims to speed up aortic aneurysm recovery
NCT ID NCT07431047
Summary
This study is testing a 'Fast-Track' recovery plan for patients having a minimally invasive procedure to repair a weak spot in the body's main artery (an aortic aneurysm). The plan uses local numbing instead of full sleep anesthesia, avoids the intensive care unit, and aims to send patients home in less than 48 hours. Researchers want to see if this approach is safe, reduces hospital costs, and allows the hospital to treat more patients.
