Quick MRI scan aims to spot hidden breast cancer mammograms miss

NCT ID NCT03664778

Summary

This study tested if a faster, shorter type of breast MRI could find cancers that regular mammograms miss in women who had been treated for breast cancer in the past. It involved 184 women who had a normal mammogram result but were at higher risk for the cancer coming back. The goal was to see if finding these hidden cancers earlier could lead to better health outcomes.
