First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study looks at whether it's safe and better for patients to eat and drink normally before an elective heart catheterization, instead of fasting. About 2000 adults will be randomly assigned to either fast or eat as they wish before the procedure. Researchers will compare how satisfied patients are and whether there are any breathing complications.
