New eye drug could save sight in severely nearsighted patients

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called faricimab against an existing treatment (ranibizumab) for people with vision loss caused by abnormal blood vessels in the eye due to severe nearsightedness. About 280 participants will receive injections as needed after an initial dose. The goal is to see if faricimab works as well as the current drug in improving eyesight over 12 weeks.
