New heart procedure shows promise for controlling irregular heartbeat
NCT ID NCT06431815
Summary
This study is tracking the long-term safety and effectiveness of the FARAPULSE pulsed field ablation system, a medical device that treats paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat). Researchers are following 228 patients who have undergone this procedure to see how well it works and what side effects might occur over time. The study focuses on patients whose irregular heartbeat hasn't responded well to medications and who are getting this specific ablation treatment for the first time.
