First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study uses a special PET scan to see if a heart valve procedure called TAVI can reverse scarring and damage in the heart muscle of people with severe aortic stenosis. About 25 patients will be scanned before and 6 months after TAVI, and compared to a group not getting the procedure. The goal is to understand how relieving the blocked valve affects heart structure and function.
